This weekend, I was once again asked to be a ring bearer. The lucky bride is actually the sister of the Best Man in Mom and Dad’s wedding! I’m not sure what all that means, but I think it means they are good friends with Mom and Dad and I was happy to partake.
The wedding itself was a very neat thing. Mom uses the word “lovely”, but I think it was neat. There were kids my age there for me to play with, and a couple of very cute girls about my age. Dad caught one of them giving me a hug! Craig seems like a very nice guy, so i approve of him to be married to Stella. For those of you that don’t know her, Stella is a very sweet lady who likes rubber ducks almost as much as I do! In fact, they had rubber ducks floating on the tables, and I was able to take a few home. Now, the bath tub has even more ducks in it.
Well, it’s official! I am spending my birthday down in Florida where I will be having dinner with Chef Mickey! I can’t wait. Mom, Dad, Grandma, and even Cousin Kathy will be joining us since she works for Disney.
We’re going to be spending almost a full week exploring the parks, having adventures, and keeping mom and dad on their toes as I want to explore everything! Now, this is my first real amusment park, as I’ve only been to fairs before, so I’m not really sure what to expect. Mom has been to Disney World before, but that was when she was a kid, so I know things have changed, and Dad has never been there, so he and I are going to be taking a lot of photos and having a lot fun.
I will try to update my blog once or twice while I am down there, if possible. If not, I’ll be sure to update as soon as I get home.
Also, since this is my first trip to Disney, and I’m not really sure what to expect, please post a comment with ideas of things to see!
So many exciting things have happened this summer so far. I’ve been in one wedding, have another one coming up in a few weeks, have started planning my birthday celebration (more on that later!), started learning how to ride a bike, played around on my fort almost daily, but most of all, I’ve been spending time with mom and dad.
To that end, we recently went out and did something very exciting. We went to the movies, and not just any movie. We went to see Star Trek! It is definately a must watch movie, and one that should be seen in the theartre. I loved it!
If you have not yet seen it, you need to. Dad calls it an excellent reboot to the series, mom thought it was very enjoyable, and me, well, I got to see Spock so I’m happy. I’ve been working on my Vulcan greeting for some time now, so I was really excited to see it on screen. I’m still wondering if I bothered anyone at the movie by giving everyone the Vulcan greeting. I want to go again, but Dad says I have to wait for it to come out on DVD. I guess this means I’ll have to take Cars or Curious George out of the player.
Well, as you can see in the photo, I have an added addition to my collection of Summer time activities. Last year, Dad bought me a playset, and today, with the help of some of his friends, they got it put together for me!
There is a ladder, a rock wall, a fort, a sandbox area, a picnic table, a slide, and three swings! As you can see, there are plenty of activities to keep me busy. I even got to test it out today. They weren’t done building it, but Mom and I started playing on it as soon as we could.
If it had not started raining, I’d still be out there playing on it.
Today, Mom received a package in the mail from her crochet swap partner, and inside the package were gifts for me! That’s right. I got some very nice items.
As you can see in the picture, I received a new crocheted Teddy Bear, a Lightning McQueen drawing pad, and a pair of Lightning McQueen socks, which I am wearing.
I know Mom already said Thank You, but to the the lady who sent the gifts, if you are reading this post, Thank You from me as well!
