New experiences every day

Posted June 27th, 2007 by Tyler

Today was an important moment in my life so far.  I know who I am.  I know, I know, to most of you, that’s not a big deal, as you already know who I am, but seeing as how my lexicon is somewhat lacking at the moment, tonight was a special experience.  What was this special experience you ask?  I said my name!

That is right, I said it; well, Ty anyways.  I looked at Mom, pointed to myself and said Ty.  I knew I did something good from the expression on her face, so I repeated my name while pointing to myself two more times, just so she knew for sure what I was doing.  Dad missed the event, but I know I’ll do it again for him soon.

That’s all for now, I’m off to go play with my puppies.  I think I need to feed them a dog biscuit or two.  I have learned to feed them, and they have learned how to accept food from me, which is a great thing for when mom starts trying to feed me brussel sprouts and stuff like that.  Don’t worry, I don’t eat the biscuits.  I know those are for them, not me.  I’m getting pretty good at knowing what is my food and what is theirs.

I happen to know a former State Patrolman who always was given biscuits for the K-9 who couldn’t eat on the job, so the guy started eating them himself. I tried one once and they taste like unsugared cereal. It really grossed my daughter out one day when I ate half of one!

well, I normally eat cheerios, toast, granola bars, and stuff like that. I even eat corndogs and chicken nuggets if I’m in the mood. I did try to eat one of the biscuits once, but mom and dad said no, and I have not tried since.
