Yesterday was a very big day. I have gotten what is going to be the first of many chores. It’s my job to feed the dogs. Yep, you read right. Mom showed me how to do it and even let me do it a few times. Basically, I take a jar of food and pour it into their dish. Mom or dad still has to fill the jar, but I take it from there. It’s actually pretty exciting!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out last night. I won’t spoil the ending, mainly because I have not read it yet. Mom, dad, and myself decided it would be fun to go to the release party; so dad pre-ordered the book and around 5:00 we headed off to Lincoln for a night of Potter madness. We got to the book store about 5:30 to get our wristband for the evening. It was a good thing we got there when we did, as the line had been forming since 4:00! We were in line for over an hour, but we got our wrist band and decided to head out for supper.
We arrived back around 9:00, which was when all the games and activities were starting. Dad played the trivia question games and won me some items. Mom helped me complete the Tri-Wizard tournament so I could get my Official Wizard Certificate. I think I might actually have some wizard blood in me, as I was charming the ladies there last night. I was so charming one of the managers held back an owl for me. They only had 13 in the store, and 4 were prizes for finding all of them. I did not win, but mom asked to buy one and the manager looked at me, said she would see what she could do, and in a few minutes came back with one! Mom and dad get the book, and I get an owl. I think that’s a fair deal.
The evening went pretty fast and before I knew it, dad had to leave to get into the purchasing line. Once he did, it was only a few minutes before we had the book. From there, we loaded in car and headed home. I’m not sure what happened after I got in the car, because I fell asleep and did not wake up until a little bit ago. I did not get a nap at all yesterday due to all the excitement, and I was one tired little guy. To be honest, I’m still pretty tired now, but that’s ok.
Did you get the last book as well? What do you think of the series? Leave a comment for me to let me know!
