A trip down memory lane

Dad, mom, and I are on a little vacation.  Dad has a good friend getting married, so we traveled to the northern part of the state for the wedding.  Since we are only a few minutes from where mom lived when she got out of College, we decided to hit the small town and check it out.  For a town of only 870 people, it has the most amazing park I have ever seen.  New tennis courts, a kid play yard that is nicer than anything I have seen before, and even a lot of stuff designed for us smaller ones.  They had a toddler safe slide that was really fun.  I kept sliding down, climbing up the stairs, and sliding down again.  I had a blast.

Once we were done playing at the park, we went to a little restaurant called Tiger Tavern.  It was kind of a bar/diner type place, but they had a really good fish fry going on.  Mom and dad really enjoyed it.  I did not care for the fish, but they had bread rolls that were very good, and mom shared her apple pie with me for desert.

After that, we came back to the hotel so Mom and I could go swiming.  That was fun.  I’m starting to enjoy the pools, so I hope we can go there again in the morning.
