What do football and ketchup have in common? Well, they’re two things that I was able to experience over the last few days.
On Saturday, Grandma Shelley showed up and we headed off to Lincoln to watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers Spring Game. I was excited, because I was allowed to take a football with me. I knew that during half-time, I would be able to go out onto the field and play. I was hoping to practice running in a touchdown, but it just did not happen.
Shortly before the game started, mom and I ran into Tom Osborne. Mom asked him if he would sign my football, and he did. Since it was signed, mom and dad decided that I should put it up and not play with it the rest of the day. I’m not sure who Tom is, but he must be important if mom put up the football after he signed it.
On the plus side, I not only got my annual picture with some of the cheerleaders, but I got my photo taken with the entire dance squad as well. Dad and I even got a photo taken with Herbie.
As fun as it was to watch Nebraska win, I think the most exciting event actually happened today. Mom left the ketchup out on the table after she had lunch, and I found it! Unfortunately, mom caught me in the act. For some reason, she did not seem to happy, but I don’t think I did anything wrong, do you?
