Two months later…

Posted August 9th, 2008 by Tyler

I know, I know.  I have been a very naughty little blogger.  I’m sorry about that, I really am.  I’d like to say it’s because it’s been a slow summer, but truth be told, I’ve been a very active guy over the past few months.  I don’t know how much you want to know, but I think I will hit the highlights of the summer thus far.  So, in no particular order, here is my summer.

Swimming:  I have been doing a lot of floating in pools.  Mom takes me to the city pool, and our neighbor has a pool that we get to use whenever we want.  I have my own floaty thing that I can sit in, and I really enjoy it.  I also have my own pool designed for kids my size.  I get to play out there when mom and dad don’t quite feel like heading to a big pool.

Fairs:  I love them!  So far, I have been to two and have had a lot of fun at both.  From big slides to funnel cakes to train rides, to the ferris wheel, fairs are wonderful!  If you have not gone to one this year, go.  If you have gone to one, go to another.  It’s that much fun, and not just for kids.  Mom had a lot of fun too.  She entered 3 projects into the fair, and even better, one of her Christening dresses one Best In Show in the Adult Category.  She was very happy.

Bees:  Bees are awful!  I got stung by one and it hurt; a lot!  I was just walking through the yard and all of a sudden, I felt something terrible.  I screamed, Dad picked me up and took me inside.  Once we got inside, Dad saw what it was, but I was jerking my foot to much for him to get it out.  He called for mom, and while he held me still, she pulled out the stinger.  I think I screamed for the next hour!  That just hurt.

Trains:  I love trains.  I have a few different types of sets, from a nice wooden set, to ones I can take with me when we travel places.  I like my trains a lot.  I’ve even gotten a couple of Thomas the Train Engine movies.  I really enjoy them, even if mom and dad don’t.

And yes, Dad plans to get the pictures back over the next couple of weeks.

I hope you are having a great summer!
