Happy Thanksgiving and more gifts for me!

This past weekend was Thanksgiving, and it was a wonderful time spent with family and some new friends.  I spent most of the time visiting family, and was able to see just about everyone, so I had a great time.

Two of the most memorable experiences that I had from this weekend was cooking dinner and making a new friend.  I got to help Grandma make a chicken, and I was pretty excited!  As you can tell, I knew exactly what to do.

I still have a lot to learn, like not touching the pan when it just comes out of the oven, but I have the seasoning down pretty good.  I still think it needed some more garlic, but not everyone likes it as much as I do.

The other big highlight of the holiday weekend was making a new friend.  I got to meet a 1 year old collie named Rebel.  Rebel and I spent a lot of time running around and chasing everything that moved.  I think this was the first time that my dog Ginger had been worn out!  Of course, but the end of the play session, Ginger, Rebel, and myself were exhausted, and needed time to recover.

Just when I thought the weekend had come to an end, I found a package waiting for me when we got back home.  Mom had been sent another gift, and they included a book for me!

Dad and I read it as soon as I had the energy to do so.  I love getting books, so this was a very pleasant treat for me!  I think reading is something in my future.
